Can PoS Actually Be More Resilient than PoW

Hey crew!

Heidi here with this short yet interesting article covering Vitalik’s view on CBDCs, but Vitalik makes a really interesting point at the end of this article comparing PoW to PoS.
IMO, to an extent he is right, but miners are already incentivized to seek renewable, off grid energy sources.
Even if the physicality of PoW is a hinderance in the future, that doesn’t automatically mean PoS is perfect a solution (Vitalik doesn’t claim it to be). To be sure, they each have potential weaknesses that could be manipulated. I’m curious, what are your thoughts?
